Itinerary

Welcome to Oslo, surrounded by mountains and sea, this compact, cultured and fun city has a palpable sense of reinvention. Come to Oslo to pay homage to Edvard Munch and Henrik Ibsen, the city’s two most famous sons, by all means. But don’t leave without discovering something of its contemporary cultural life too. Enroute you will enjoy a local orientation tour of the city.
On arrival at Oslo Airport, you will be met by the driver/ representative who will transfer you to your centrally located hotel. Rest of the day is free to recuperate from the journey. Depending upon the arrival time of the flight, in the afternoon recuperate with a visit to some of the famous attractions in Oslo.

Welcome to the gourmet dinner cruise on the Oslo fjord. Take in the unique ambiance of our hybrid-electric boat with panoramic windows and an outside deck. Step on board for an evening trip through the Oslofjord. During the cruise, you will leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind and find the calm waters of the Oslofjord and its green islands with picturesque lighthouses such as Dyna Fir. The outside deck or inside lounges with panoramic windows will ensure a good view from any seat.
On the way back you can enjoy the Oslo skyline and you will cruise past some of its most popular sites such as the Opera House and Aker fortress. The crew will serve a delicious 3-course cold dinner from Michelin sustainability award-winning restaurant Einer. Einer safeguards the Norwegian cooking traditions with their locally-sourced dishes. Pair the dinner with one of our wines that have been carefully curated to complement the food.
Overnight in Oslo

Breakfast at hotel. Today you will have a sightseeing tour of Oslo. [Starting Time – 1000 am]
Admire one of the most iconic landmarks of Oslo. Pass by - The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet and Akershus Castle and Fortress. Get a glimpse of the Oslofjord with its many islands and attractions along it, such as Aker Brygge area with the new National Museum, the Nobel Peace Center, Astrup Fearley Museum of Modern Art, restaurants, cafes, etc. Drive on Oslo's main street and admire some of the attractions along it: the University, the City Hall, and The Parliament. Orientation Visit by the Norwegian Royal Family residence.
Admire Holmenkollen Ski Jump and enjoy panoramic views over Oslo and some free time on your own. Visit Oslo's best kept secret: the amazing sculpture park designed by Gustav Vigeland. Finally See the building where the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony takes place - Oslo City Hall!
Opt for a “Christmas Tour: Selective Day from 19 Nov – 30 Dec”
Immerse yourself into real Norwegian Christmas atmosphere in Oslo and as it creates the real Christmas magic for you! [Duration of the tour approx. 1.5 hours]
Before heading to the Christmas Markets, you will visit some of Oslo's top sights such as Karl Johan Street, Parliament building or National Theatre. And of course, you can't experience the real Norwegian winter fairytale without the king and queen! That is why the last sightseeing stop will be... in front of their home!
After visiting the royal family, you'll move to Oslo's biggest Christmas Markets. Here you will be able to find out about the most interesting Christmas traditions, taste some special Christmas snacks and maybe at the end, you will even be able to hear a real Norwegian fairytale story by the fire, presented by the guide!

Oslo Highlights and Christmas Markets - Private Walking Tour
Create your own Christmas fairytale in Oslo! Immerse into Norwegian Christmas traditions and food and get yourself lost into real Norwegian winter coziness in this special 2-hour experience! The experience starts with a short stroll around the Christmas-y city. On your way to the Christmas market village, you will learn a bit about Oslo's history and some of the most famous sights. After about an hour, we will move to the 'Winter village' which is the biggest Christmas market place in Oslo. There you will be able to take the opportunity to warm yourself up with the traditional Norwegian drink, “gløgg” (mulled wine), or taste some of the traditional Christmas foods such as “julegrøt” (porridge), “julepølse”(pork sausage), or “tynnlefser” (flatbread) and learn everything you need to know about the Christmas in Norway. The tour is concluded with a cozy session by the fire where your guide will be telling you one of the most magical Norwegian Christmas stories while you'll be sipping your warm gløgg.

Thor Heyerdahl (1914-2002) gained worldwide fame when he crossed the Pacific Ocean on the balsawood raft Kon-Tiki in 1947. He followed this up with spectacular expeditions on the reed boats Ra and Tigris. At the Kon-Tiki Museum guests can experience original vessels and up-to-date exhibits on Heyerdahl’s expeditions, including Kon-Tiki, Ra, Tigris, Easter Island, Fatu-Hiva, Tùcume, Galapagos, a 30-metre cave tour, an underwater exhibit with a 10-metre model of a whale shark, Thor Heyerdahl’s library, Thor Heyerdahl in person, andTiki pop culture. The original, Oscar-winning Kon-Tiki documentary film is screened every day at 12 noon in the cinema, and the museum has a well-stocked souvenir shop.

Today after breakfast, you will have to make your way to Oslo Train Station by 0800 am for your onward journey on Norway in a Nutshell - This legendary tour takes you through Norway’s most breathtaking UNESCO-protected fjord and mountain scenery, as well as a trip on Europe’s top scenic rail journey. After breakfast at the hotel, See the stunning sights the Fjord has to offer on one of the most popular tours, which is a trip down the narrow Mostraumen. This scenic tour from the centre of Bergen allows you to witness some memorable scenes of western Norway's Hordaland province to tiny Modalen, along the famous fjord. The tour gives amazing panoramic views of Bergen as you depart the wharf on the way to the fjord. This trip includes many beautiful waterfalls and narrow fjords whilst enjoying the picturesque mountains. If your tour is at peak flow you can feel the thrill of a refreshing spray. The captain will try and get close to the waterfall to capture a large bucket of fresh ice cold mountain water, which you can taste. It is hard to beat the stunning views this tour has to offer, as well as seeing an abundance of wildlife in the area, including seals, goats and eagles!
