Itinerary

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi. Your waiting safari team will transfer you to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, leave for Nyeri, a small but fast-growing town in the heart of the coffee growing and dairy farming area in the so-called former White Highlands of Kenya. After a sumptuous lunch at the base hotel, the tour leaves for a tree hotel where the evening is spent watching succession of animals that emerge from the forest and descend on floodlit water hole and salt lick, scuffling and jostling for a good vantage position. At night if you want to remain awake and watch the show-the Elephants may engage in a show of strength with each other but even they would be reluctant to challenge the rhino. The herbivores keep their distance from these two competitors. In the case of Mountain Lodge, you arrive directly at the lodge for lunch. Meals and overnight at a Tree hotel. You are required to pack an overnight bag when you transfer to the Ark for the night.

After breakfast a short drive brings you to the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club, which is situated at the foot of Mount Kenya (17,058 feet). You also get a chance to stop at the Equator. With magnificent views of majestic Mount Kenya, the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club Resort's 120 luxuriously appointed hotel rooms, set in over 100 acres of landscaped gardens, offer a unique blend of comfort, relaxation, and adventure. Originally the retreat of movie star and Club founder, William Holden, the Club's illustrious former members have included Winston Churchill and Bing Crosby. There are many recreational activities available: horseback riding, golf, croquet, a bowling green, table tennis, swimming, a beauty salon, an animal orphanage and much more. After lunch, enjoy the activities at the hotel. Meals and overnight at the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club.

After breakfast, the tour crosses over the top of the Aberdare range of mountains, stopping briefly to gaze at the 73m Thompson’s Falls, named after Joseph Thompson the Scots explorer, who was the first European to see the Falls in 1884. Continue to Nakuru for lunch. After lunch an exciting game drive is planned for the afternoon. The game in this park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant. The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is world renown and over 400 bird’s species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe. Meals and overnight at a lodge in Nakuru/Naivasha.

After breakfast, drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Lunch at your Lodge/ camp and relax before departing for an afternoon game drive. The Mara Game Reserve – one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see. Residents among the Park's are: Maasai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousands of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson's and grants Gazelles. Meals and overnight at the lodge.

Day 6 :
MASAI MARA

After breakfast, proceed on a morning game-viewing drive to search for the myriad species of game that make this reserve their home. If you are lucky, you can witness the kill in action, moment by moment, right in front of your unbelieving eyes! After a sumptuous lunch at your lodge, proceed for another exciting game drive, where you can expect to see the famous 'Big 5'. Meals and overnight at the lodge.

After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch. Lunch on own. Later transfer to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for flight to next destination to Arusha. TANZANIA !!!!
Upon arrival in Arusha, drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands to your lodge situated on the rim of the crater. The crater covers over 300 square kilometers of land and is the home of the rare black rhino, prides of lion, elephant, cheetah and great herds of buffalo, antelope and wildebeest. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 8 :
NGORONGORO

Today after breakfast, you will descend over 600 meters to the floor of the crater for a day crater tour. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkey and elephant, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. Picnic lunches will be served in the crater. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

After breakfast drive to Oldupai Gorge, site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains. Continue to Serengeti National Park in time for lunch. This enormous park supports every variety of animal imaginable - from large predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah to the smaller herbivores they prey on. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 10 :
SERENGETI

Today after breakfast, spend the whole day on game drive in this National Park, which is rich with all different species of animals. To maximize game viewing you will carry a picnic lunch with you and spend full day in the SerengetiNational Park. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Breakfast at your lodge. Drive to Lake Manyara, a soda lake lying in the Great Rift Valley. Lunch at Lake Manyara. In the afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, home of the tree-climbing lions. Apart from the varied types of landscape including jungle, swamp and savanna, there are also a large variety of animals including Giraffe, Zebra, Elephant, Gazelle, hippos, monkeys and about 400 different species of birds. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

After breakfast, drive back to Arusha for your departure flight back home.

  • Medical insurance for the duration of the tour is included in the tour price. However, any passenger above the age of 60 years and those who wish to extend their stay will be required to pay additional charges.
